Dr. Patrick Jean-Pierre

Sports Medicine Physician · Medical Director

Patrick leads the diagnostic and medical side of care at Mend. His training in both internal medicine and sports medicine means he identifies what is driving the problem and determines how to return patients to activity safely. He is board-certified in internal medicine and sports medicine.

At Mend, he oversees treatment planning when cases involve multiple providers. For patients who need image-guided injections, he performs those in-house. For cases that require outside imaging, surgical consultation, or specialist referral, he coordinates those referrals.

Dr. Oliver Grover

Chiropractor & Acupuncturist · Director of Clinical Operations

Oliver is a chiropractor and acupuncturist with more than ten years of experience working alongside orthopedic, sports medicine, neurology, and rehabilitation specialists in New York City. His clinical approach integrates chiropractic, acupuncture, dry needling, and principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to understand how symptoms connect across the body.

Oliver takes a methodical approach to evaluation. He listens to how the problem started, observes how the body moves, and identifies how joints, muscles, nerves, and movement patterns affect one another. His dual training in both Western and Eastern disciplines gives him more than one lens to evaluate pain, especially when symptoms involve the spine, nerves, TMJ, or headache patterns.

Patients can see Oliver directly without a referral. When additional specialty care is needed, he coordinates with Mend's clinical team and outside providers to keep treatment aligned.

Dr. Jonathan (Yoni) Levy

Physical Therapist · Director of Rehabilitation & Performance

Yoni treats the body as a connected system. When a patient comes in with knee pain, he is looking at the hip, the ankle, the training history, and the mechanics that created the problem. His doctorate in physical therapy and background in strength and performance training give him a detailed understanding of how the body moves under stress and where it compensates.

Through thorough evaluations, he identifies movement dysfunctions, compensation patterns, and strength or mobility deficits that contribute to pain and injury. He builds individualized rehab programs designed around what each patient wants to get back to, whether that is walking without pain, recovering from surgery, returning to competition, or training at a higher level.

You do not need to be injured to work with Yoni. He works with athletes, runners, lifters, and active patients to develop strength, improve movement quality, and prevent injury. His sessions combine hands-on care, movement analysis, and progressive programming.

Bruce Haymann

Orthopedic Acupuncturist

Bruce specializes in orthopedic acupuncture, a targeted approach to musculoskeletal pain and injury. He uses trigger point, neurofunctional, and orthopedic techniques to identify what is contributing to pain and adjust treatment based on how the body responds.

His work is clinical and direct. He explains what he is doing and why, and helps patients understand how acupuncture fits into a broader treatment plan. For patients who have never tried acupuncture, his approach tends to put them at ease quickly.

Bruce has spent ten years treating patients in New York City alongside orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, and physical therapists.

Rachel Gronningsater

Licensed Massage Therapist

Rachel is a licensed massage therapist in New York and California. Her work ranges from deep tissue and sports massage to lymphatic drainage and craniosacral therapy, depending on what the patient needs.

At Mend, her sessions are informed by what the rest of the team is seeing and treating. She understands which areas are being addressed and where soft-tissue work belongs. Each session is individualized based on the patient's current condition, whether the focus is chronic tension or recovery from injury.
